Create Your Own “My Girlfriend’s Breakfast Club”

Tuesday, September 20th, 2011

Hello friends!
We recently had the opportunity to share an idea with readers of Where Women Cook Magazine. As you may know, Kris opened a new brick and mortar store (online, too!) called, “My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe.”

Not only is this a place to find fabric, patterns, notions, and more, but Kris really wanted it to become a “gathering place” for friends to learn new things and be inspired. As part of the many events being held at the shop, we’ve also started a “My Girlfriend’s Breakfast Club.” We are even more thrilled that this club will be featured over the next year in the Where Women Cook Magazine!

You see, what it entails is that we gather groups of friends, make a DIY project, and of course, EAT! So each issue of the magazine will include photographs of the event, the project, and definitely the breakfast recipes!  The Fall 2011 issue is on news stands now and we couldn’t be more excited.

We also outline a 9-step guide for creating your own “Girlfriend’s Breakfast Club”. We’d love to see women all over the country (and world!) getting together with old and new friends, creating, laughing, eating, and enjoying one another’s company.

The other cool part is that all of the projects we make will also be a free download that you can receive at www.YouCanMakeThis.com. The first project is this darling apron — appropriately called, “My Girlfriend’s Breakfast Club Apron.”

Download your free apron pattern here.

Fabric kits for the aprons are found here.

They’re so easy to make, you’ll want to make them for all of your girlfriends for gifts!

We hope you have a wonderful week. Our first episode of Season 4 begins Monday, October 3rd! We can’t wait!
