A “2nd Helping” – Sharing More from Episode 6 and Tissue Pom Poms

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

First off, thank you for all your well-wishes as we shared with you our exciting Nate Berkus show news! We have THE best supporters out there and we can’t thank you enough! It was fun to hear all of the different places around the world you’ll be watching! And Wednesday will be here before you know it! Eek!

Also glad to hear that you’re thinking of even more possibilities to make with the tissue pom pom garland! We’re hearing baby shower ideas, Christmas parties, and even Karen commented how cute they would be for a baby’s 1st birthday!

In today’s blog post, I thought I would share a few photos from a bridal shower that my family had given to our niece this past summer. My sweet little niece couldn’t POSSIBLY be old enough to be getting married!  I mean…she’s still only 10 years old, right? :) Yep, I’m getting old.  ha, ha. Isn’t she a cutie?

Taking the same tissue pom pom idea, I attached each of them to skewers and placed in pots for the serving table. I simply stuck the ends of the skewers into styrofoam and covered with a little bit of paper moss. There was a potted “flower” for each letter of her new last name!

Tie a little green ribbon around the “stem” and there you have it!
Another fun way to use the tissue pom poms!

What else have you done or WANT to do with tissue pom poms?
We’d love to hear!
