How to choose?!? We couldn’t! Yes, you read that right. We were supposed to have it narrowed down to 5 for voting, but the simple answer is…it was too hard! And even getting it down to 10 was crazy-hard! :)

Now without further ado, here are the 10 finalist videos!! Vote for your favorite today! The voting poll is found at the end of this blog post — right after Video #10. Voting ends at midnight PST, March 6, 2011. (And all 10 finalists will receive the Epic 6!)

Video 1: Judy & Shirley – 15 year Craft Group

Video 2: Kris – Mom of 5-year old Twins
Video 3: Jamie – Go,Go,Go Busy Mom of 3

We want to thank Lifestyle Crafts for sponsoring such an amazing giveaway. It has been so much fun using their products in our own crafting and we can’t wait to share it with someone’s group, too!

We’d also love to hear from you! If there was something that you especially liked in any of these videos, feel free to make a comment here!

What a tough decision to make. Great videos were made by all. Sounds like a really fun time for the winner. I really wanted to pick more than one.

They are all great videos and I wish everyone would win a craft night…..I think it is wonderful that today more people are getting involved in crafts. It’s cheaper, easier and more relaxing and omg can’t forget the wonderful end products……

  • March 1, 2011 at 1:45 pm

The videos were all outstanding and I can certainly see why the final decision has been so difficult. All of these videos were winners!!

I voted but, when my friend tried to vote, she didn’t see the voting buttons. Does she have to register somewhere?

Really hard decision. I know you gals are going to have so much fun with who ever wins. Good luck to all the entries!

  • March 1, 2011 at 5:43 pm

It would be fabulous if Connie wins. She is such a great gal who volunteers her time in her community and also is spreading her love of sewing and crafting to students in her school district and of course to all her friends!

    March 1, 2011 at 6:10 pm

Maybe you could pick them all, and bring them to you. They would all get a night out, and make ten NEW friends. That way, you wouldn’t have to choose! =) Fun videos. I would love to have entered, but no video equipment.

However, I was lucky enough to be the first winner of an Epic 6 on your show giveaway. When you notified me, you said I would be contacted by a representative from their company. That has not yet happened. Do you know when I can expect to hear from Lifestyle Crafts?

Good luck with your voting, and have a fabulous craft night wherever you end up.

  • March 1, 2011 at 6:11 pm

Connie has taught both my daughters to sew in her after-school sewing program and I volunteer whenever possible. This woman has inspired so many girls AND boys to start sewing. She really deserves this!

Hi Kris & Kim, What a great giveaway for Spring 2011! I think all are winners, but the one video of the 4 girls and the mom in Florida was pretty cool… I think these girls would make better use of your giveaway and they will inspire other girl friends with there crafty ideas for years to come. The mom seems to be preTty crafty too and likes your website ideas. Best of luck to all, but I hope the little girls win!!!!! VOTE NUMBER 6 EVERYBODY AND HELP THESE LITTLE GIRLS WIN A DAY WITH KRIS & KIM!!!!

    March 1, 2011 at 7:18 pm

Oh, my heart goes out to #9. How hard to be a single mom while Dad is off serving our country! Looks like a typical day in the life of a busy mom without the break she needs! Good luck to everyone. All of the videos were so fun to watch.

  • March 1, 2011 at 7:40 pm

All fabulous videos, but I have a special place in my heart for home-schooling moms. I don’t think anyone deserves a craft night more then one of them.

  • March 1, 2011 at 8:04 pm

It was hard to choose because they are all cute videos. I chose this one because it looked like the best presentation of them all, Now If only I could get you two to come to my house

I’ve known Jamie for years and I can’t think of anyone who deserves this more. She is so busy and yet always makes time for everyone else. Not only is she doing a great job raising her 3 little girls (all under the age of 4!) she’s also a third grade teacher and has touched many lives of the students she teaches. I know how much she loves to craft! This would just make her year!

This is too tough. Wonderful videos from all. I have three kids and they each picked a different one. Good luck!

Go Jamie Go! What a hilarious video! I am Jamie’s grandmother, and it is so fun to see a little clip of what I know her day is like. Jamie is working so hard to put her husband through school and raise her three little girls. She could use a break!

If you are undecided please give a look at my nephews video #4. All of his older brothers are out of the house now, two in the Army, two in college and two married so he and my brother-in-law are outnumbered by my sister and nieces. All the girls, as well as a bunch of my sisters friends, craft, and he could really use a night off.

I have to also admit my sister would love to have Kim and Kris visit her in South Florida. She made me a great purse from their instructions and her and her friends live to craft.

    Thanks all.

She is always there when I need her, so here I am campaigning for her to get all the votes she needs to win! Please please vote for my bestie! She deals with more then anyone should I deserves one night to have fun and get her craft on. VOTE FOR NUMBER 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 HOOAH!!!!

  • March 2, 2011 at 8:28 am

I love the video of the military wife that needs a break. We all need to support those
men and women fighting for our country, and what better way than to give that mom and
military wife a night of fun crafting with her friends and of course the DIY Dish girls, Kim and Kris !

  • March 2, 2011 at 8:29 am

I especially like #9, the military wife. She really deserves a break !

  • March 2, 2011 at 2:25 pm

it was hard to pick they were all great

    March 2, 2011 at 11:03 pm

What fun! I laughed out loud at Jamie…i totally empathise with her, and i only have 2 girls!
She simply has to have a night off.
I would have loved to have entered, but somehow i don’t think you could have travelled to the UK for just one night;o))
    Great comp though x

All of these wonderful ladies deserve a night out. I can see why you had such a hard time deciding on the final 5. I can appreciate all the hard work that all these ladies do. Being 63 and having been a working mother of 3 I can really appreciate their need for a break! I would have loved to have had time for a night out with the girls doing any kind of crafts back then and now. I still work and now I have 3 kids with spouses and 5 grand children. Someone always needs something and I still can’t craft as much as I’d like. I would have loved to have sent in a video but didn’t have time to do one. HeeHee

I love your show and look forward to seeing everyone you’ve done. I’ve gotten some really cute ideas from the shows and even done some of them. Keep up the good work!

I really like #1; they were straight forward. Just a faithful group of friends who would enjoy the event together. I’m sure when they were younger, they were also very busy taking care of their little ones and may have had husbands in the military and may now have children serving. I started to enter but didn’t want to play the sympathy card, for example:
    2 recent cancer survivors
3 who have each lost a child, 1 recently
1 battling health issues while caring for her 3 little ones
1 who has given up her ME time to teach at a small Christian school that needed help
1 who is helping take care of her father inlaw who’s battling cancer
I vote for #1; if you have a group of people who have hung in there together for that long, they deserve it!

Oh my heck- Jamie’s video is so hilarious! I’m one of her friends, and it has always cracked me up that she is such an incredibly crafty gal and yet all she has are her TEENY tiny pathetic excuse for a sewing machine and her trusty glue-gun. LoL. I’m glad she’s at least won the Epic machine! At least now she’ll have one cool crafty gadget! Great job Jamie! Good luck!

Question for Kim and Kris for clarification. The rules say the contest ends on midnight, March 6 PST. For those of us on the East Coast does that mean 3am Sunday morning or 3am Monday morning? To me midnight is the start of the day so midnight Sunday would mean Sunday morning but wanted to be positive.

Thanks, great contest, wish all could win a visit from Kim and Kris. No way I could have made a video anywhere near as good as the 10 finalists.

  • March 4, 2011 at 3:00 pm

I vote for Bonnie in Snowy North Dakota !!

  • Dale
    March 4, 2011 at 5:23 pm

I have to say something. I am the father of the teenager who made the hilarious video. He came up with the ideas by himself. No wonder. He is our sixth son and has three younger sisters. So he is living in the woman’s world that has taken over our home.
Really, if you are trying to decide who needs a night off, it has to be my wife! We have the 9 children. She has to drive around to 4 schools. She has been PTA President I guess like 7 times, scout leader, president of the women’s and children’s organizations at Church, involved in our community. I could go on and on but it just makes me tired and want a night off too!
    Please vote for #4.
(Plus my wife just had one of those unmentionable birthdays and this would be quite the party for her.)

I think this competition means a lot to EVERYONE that entered… you can just see it by how much time they spent on their videos. I promise, if I entered mine would have been pretty lame. That being said-I think we need to be careful that this doesn’t become a pity party. Everyone seems to be trying to play the empathy card. Everyone has challanges and struggles, and let’s be honest- we ALL deserve a night off! But let’s keep things real folks- this competition is supposed to be fun! Vote for your friends! Vote for whatever video you like best! Let’s keep things positive!!!! :)

Congrats to all who made it to the final 10! I have to say that it was definitely a tough decision. But I empathize with the military wife whose husband is away. My hubby is a trucker (not in the military, but…) gone most of the week. Plus, I homeschool with 5 kids (the oldest 10 and the youngest 5 months), so I know what it’s like to basically do it on your own and still try to find time to craft, let alone get a night out! It gets pretty harried some days! Good luck to everyone, though!

I watched Jamie’s video about 20 times, so cute! I bet she makes those tutu’s by hand! I love how all she has to craft with is scissors, a dumpy sewing machine, and a glue gun. My votes go to her.
