We are happy to be a part of a campaign for a great cause. The Just Ask! about Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (HBOC) campaign raises money in order to provide cancer screening to women who could not otherwise afford it. In fact, we can all help raise that money by simply clicking the “like” button on the Just Ask Facebook page. $1 will be donated to provide that cancer screening. Isn’t that wonderful?
Not only will you be able to help raise those funds, but a DIY Dish Viewer will also win a Canon Rebel Digital SLR camera.

It’s easy to enter. Once you have “liked” the Just Ask! Facebook page, then come back here and leave a comment letting us know you did that.
We’ve even got a few extra ways for you to enter:
1. Share this tweet: Your “LIKE” = $1 for Breast/Ovarian Cancer http://on.fb.me/JustAskHBOC Get screened. #justask
2. Share a memory or a thought about someone you know who has battled Breast/Ovarian Cancer in the comments section.
Thank you for helping us spread the word about this amazing campaign. We know all too well how cancer of any type can happen to anyone at anytime. We have lost close friends and family to this devastating disease and have also seen many others able to beat it. We have been inspired by the courage and faith of each one of them.
*Giveaway is open to a world-wide audience, 18 years and older. Void where prohibited. Last day to enter is THIS FRIDAY, March 25, 2011.

I liked the Just Ask! Facebook page!
Thanks so much for a great giveaway and for a fantastic cause!
I liked their page – what a great way to earn money for cancer screening – thanks for sharing this information!

Hey ladies…just liked that “just ASK” page on FB
Thanks for sharing! I liked their page. And have a breast cancer survivor (28 when diagnosed) in my family!
I am happy to like this page and just did so. Thanks for the opportunity to support such a valuable cause.
my Memories…well…can I do this without tearing up….My Mom…and my Grandma (my mom’s mom)
Both had Breast Cancer….well they both ended up survivors of that….
But then…back in 2005…I think my Grandma knew but she didn’t say a word to anyone…she passed away that Sept in 05…I believe it came back and spread out her body….
That was the same year my Mom was diagnosed with colon stage Four Cancer…they told us this was NO way related to her Breast Cancer she survived…but…in Sept of 2007…my mom lost her fight…
Honestly I can say…CANCER SUCKS!!! My mom and Grandma were AMAZING ladies….and Touched Many Many Many lives!!
I just had a friend diagnosed. This weighs heavy on my heart.
I liked your page on fb.
My Grandma died of Ovarian cancer, so this campaign has special meaning to me. I liked the Just Ask! Facebook page! Thank you for bringing attention to this!
I’ve liked the page on facebook, such a great cause!
Thanks for supporting a great cause! Liked you on Facebook!
My mother-in-law developed ovarian cancer a few years ago. It was a hard time but she is such a strong woman and she got through it with a strong fight. She’s been cancer free for a few years now. She’s an amazing woman and I couldn’t ask for a better mother-in-law.
My memory is of my grandmother who battled breast cancer when I was in h.s. she went through the surgery and had one of her breast removed. She was so strong and so positive. Then a few years ago she found out he other breast now had it. She wasn’t sure she wanted go through it all again….when she met a positive nurse that helped her focus. After my grandmother had the second breast removed she is my hero!!!
I’ve tweeted about this on Twitter under username lexib0t.
Just liked the page. My grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer about four years ago and had a double mastectomy. Fortunately that took care of it. My husband’s aunt passed away five years ago from ovarian cancer – she fought it for about seven months from diagnosis to death. It was an incredibly difficult thing to watch and her death greatly impacted our whole family. She left behind a husband and three children all under the age of twenty-five.
I clicked the “like” button. My aunt (my mother’s sister) died from ovarian cancer due to her doctor “thinking”he took out both her ovaries when he did her hysterectomy (which he did neither) and then putting her on hormones. When she started having “problems/pains”, the same doctor went back in and took out one, “assuming” that was the only one she had. Unbeknownst to her, and obviously her doctor, her other ovary was still in there and he kept her on hormones. When she continued to have problems, he went back in again and took out the other ovary…but too late. Cancer had taken over. She was put on chemo, etc., but she was in so much pain. She only lasted maybe another year or two before she passed away. Sad, sad day for her family.
I liked Just Ask.

Just liked it on Facebook. Thanks so much. What a great prize and what a great cause.
My amazing step-mother in law is battling right now and has been for about 6 years now. She is stage 4 and pray every day that she can stay with us that much longer.

just liked the page ….
My pastor’s wife battled breast cancer several years ago. She lived cancer-free for 4 years but sadly is now battling it again.
I, personnaly, am a breast cancer survivor; however, I have lost both parents to cancer. Both my parents experienced very long goodbyes, which tends to ravage families. My personal experience was one of great trauma when I first learned I had breast cancer. Once I settled into the thought of it – I “put on my big girl panties” and my red lipstick and made the decicion that I was
the first one of my generation in my immediate family to have cancer and I must set an example for my siblings and my nieces and nephews on my jouney through this event. My journey came to a good end, but it was a great learning experience. As I sat at the Cancer treatment center waiting my turn I saw many people that I knew and too many younger men and women far worse off than I and this broke my heart. I especially remember one young mother, who evidently had no one to watch her three children and she would bring them with her while she had her chemo treatment. The children would sit and watch cartoons – no adults would change the channel to something they wanted to watch while those children were watching TV and those little fellows had the very best of manners. While in that waiting room I found out the meaning of “I felt bad becauce I had no shoes until I saw the man with no feet”.
Done – super great cause – fantastic give-away
I liked it. My Grandmother was the bravest breast cancer survivor. She had a mastectomy in 1984 and had a blood transfusion during the surgery that gave her hepatitis C. She was cured from the cancer, but then bravely had to battle the hepatitis for the next 26 years! She was an inspiration. She passed away in December 2010.
Just liked the page – love the cause! Lost my mother-in-law to breast cancer and her mother has fought it too. I’ve seen too many great women have to battle this terrible disease.
I “liked” the “Just Ask” page on FB. My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer 24 years ago. She was having a total mastectomy the Monday following our wedding, but I never knew it until after the fact. She didn’t want to “spoil” our wedding! She’s my only aunt and I love her dearly and am so thankful that she has been cancer free ever since. Thank you for all you do.
I lost my cousin to a very aggressive ovarian cancer two years ago. She was gone within 6 months of being diagnosed…a 38 year old mother with 5 children. I was profoundly touched by her life and the grace with which she waged her battle….she will never be forgotten. I now wear an angel pin with a turquoise ribbon on my work ID badge to remind me of my special angel. In your memory, Cousin Lisa!

i have lost several friends to breast cancer. it is a senseless, painful, wasting away death.
I “liked” the Just Ask facebook page. Both of my grandmothers were breast cancer survivors. One is still living and continues to have regular check ups. A woman a worked with just had a hysterectomy due to Uterine cancer. She’s fortunate in that they think they found it early enough that she won’t have to do chemo or radiation at this point. Prayers for her!

My Grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago. She was able to have surgery which removed the cancer successfully, but it was a very scary time for her and all her family. It makes me so empowered to feel more educated about the risks and taking best care of myself to prevent these icky diseases!
I liked it.
Many women have battled this horrid disease in my family. My Mom is still in her battle. She was diagnosed about 15 years ago. After her treatments we all thought we had beaten it. A few years later we learned it had metastasized and had spread throughout her entire body; lungs, skull, legs, even her back was effected, it ate away part of her spine and she was unable to move from her bedroom floor for 6 weeks. She was hardly able to speak because it would send her back into excruciating spasms. The Lord has blessed her immensely and she is on a new treatment that has kept her with us for 10 more years than the doctors expected her to. We are grateful for every moment we have with her!
This is an amazing and wonderful campaign! Thank you both for setting this up and to everyone that comments to donate!
I “liked” Just ask on facebook and since I don’t tweet, I copied the link and put it as my status on fb too!
My grandmother had cervical cancer that spread to her ovaries and breasts in 1980. She is still going strong : )
I lost my maternal grandmother and my aunt, her daughter, to breast cancer. They were strong, beautiful women, but the battle was tough and they were lost in the struggle. Before they died, they were a shell of whom they once were. Seeing my early roll models struck down when I was in my teens and twenties hit hard. This family history leaves me at extremely high risk for it, and the importance of early screening is huge and not one I take lightly. My mom’s cervical cancer was caught early and although she had a tough battle she won and has been in remission for about 17 years. I look at my daughters and I hope that we will be spared the terrible war that is cancer.

I know a handful of amazing women who have battled breast cancer. My sisters Mother in law lost her battle about 25 years ago. I remember seeing her every where (we are from a tiny town) and she for sure fought it! A few other strong ladies in my life lost their battle to breast cancer but I know several more who are still going through this battle. It amazed me that each of these women NEVER let it get them down.
I liked the Just Ask! Facebook page!

I liked the Just Ask facebook page.
My mother-in-law was just diagnosed with breast cancer and will have a mastectomy Friday. She found out about the cancer one week after her husband’s death, so we are hoping and praying it is contained as the doctors think.
Thank you so much for this campaign. It means so much to me that you care enough to help those of us who have HBOC.
My Grandmother survived Breast Cancer and was a strong woman. Thank you for the campaign.
Last year my aunt passed away due to breast cancer.
Great cause!

My mother was a breast cancer survivor. She passed a year ago, but not from the breast cancer. She was a true fighter and was determined to live and not die!!! I applaud her fight and survival.
My aunt (mother’s sister), is now battling this same demon. She too at 79 years old is a trooper and refuses to give in.

My Great grandma passed away from Ovarian cancer the day after I met her for the first time. My dad and I had gone to see her in hospital and just a few hours after we landed back home she passed. When we met she told me that she was hanging on just so she would have the chance to know me. She was an impressive woman.

I “liked” Just Ask!… unfortunately my grandmothers and mother all died fairly young (two in their 40s, one just over 60) not from breast or ovarian cancer, but one from colon cancer. As a result I have started having colonoscopies in my early thirties… hoping early detection can be a help for any type of cancer or illness.

I remember my sweet “Mimi” who fought and beat breast cancer as well as my aunt Phyllis who fought and beat Ovarian cancer. I come from a long line of strong women!
Such an important cause. I “liked” it on Facebook.
I was pretty young then so I don’t really remember a lot from when Grammy battled breast cancer. She was diagnosed in 1999 and was cancer free from 2000 to her death. I remember her not being strong enough to do certain things at times because of the medication. Although, she lost all her hair she was still just as strong, beautiful and kept her head held up high. She wasn’t and did not let the cancer beat her. She stayed confident and strong in her faith in the Lord and fought back 10x harder than the cancer.

We lost two friends, sisters, to breast cancer within three years of each other. It still seems unreal that they both could be gone. Each of them was so strong for everyone around them. We imagine them together now, skipping together just like when they were little girls.

I have a dear friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 30. She had just given birth to twins after several miscarriages. The boys were 6 months old when she was diagnosed. I have lost family and close friends to both of these cancers. One of my dear friends right now is fighting for her life right now with breast and brain cancer. Her breast cancer is one that does not show up the same way as normal breast cancer. The doctors at first couldn’t even find it. Cancer is one of the worst to go through or see someone you love so much go through or die from.
I Shared this on facebook! thanks for such an awesome give away and shows! (trying to catch up on all your post)

It’s a horrible disease, taking away so many beautiful people! Nearly 30 years later, I still feel the loss keenly.
I’ve liked them on Facebook!
My husband (then boyfriend) and I were close with a woman who suffered from breast cancer. We often visited with her and helped with her children. One thing that always struck us was how she would remain joyful about life -not always happy, but always joyful- despite how bad her situation was. Her perseverance in her faith and her peace was a true testimony to us. We were so happy that she was able to make it to our wedding; it was truly special to see her there. She has since passed on, but her legacy of pursuing faith and joy despite incredible hardships will stay with us forever.
I ‘liked’ the Just Ask page on FaceBook! We need all the awareness and research for cancer we can get!! Have been wanting to update my ‘ol camera to a Canon, how awesome that would be to win!! Love your webisodes!!

My Nana and Grandmother each has been through their own breast cancer battles and WON! I’m happy to have them both, thank God for answering our prayers, and were blessed with wonderful doctors for each of them.
This is a wonderful way to raise money to help such a wonderful organization and the people who are effected by such a terrible disease. Thank you Cannon for for your contribution to helping women of all ages detect signs of this cancer at any early stage while still treatable. I have seen and have been close to several ladies who have battled these diseases. Not all have won, but their courage makes them a winner in my eyes!

I definitely clicked the ‘like’ button on this one.
I lost my mother to ovarian cancer a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, at present, it is not usually detected until it is at least Stage III or IV. According to my physician the blood test for this type of cancer is only about 50% reliable, at best.
We need an early detection breakthrough on this one folks!
Liked just ask on facebook!
My mother had breast cancer, she kept it a secret for a long time because she didn’t want to scare us. We figured out something was wrong though because doctors were calling the house. She’s fine now
I “liked’ the Just Ask page in favor of HBOC! What an awesome cause! Our pastor’s wife is struggling still with the ravages of this disease!

I just lost my beloved husband to Esophageal cancer, I know that’s not the subject of this but Esophageal cancer is a horrible way to go and not usually dx until way too late. I pray for a cure for breast cancer, esophageal cancer and every horrid, nasty cancer, soon!
just liked, just ask!
Not only have I been lusting over this camera for months now, but recently a friend who is only 24 has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. I pray for her daily as she fights and I know that a cure is close!
I liked this because not only I have been dying over this camera but because my mom has ovarian cancer. I’m only 15 years old and I am unable to support my mother. It’s been 2 years since she had it, but she isn’t undergoing any medical procedures. The reason why is that we have a low income rate and my dad works as an interstate driver. Being the oldest child in my family, I felt as if I had to do something in order to help my mom. Unfortunately, I didn’t. I’m only one person who can’t do anything to help. My dad’s saving up for a screening or an examination, but he still has long ways to go. Still today, it hurts too see that my mom ill and weak and yet she’s still trying her best to help our family. I pray that she will soon get better in time. ^__^ God bless you mom.<3

This may not count, but I’ll share anyway. Just a few weeks ago my mother had a routine mammogram done (she’s 59 years old). They saw a lump on her left breast. They did a repeat mammogram with more images and confirmed there was a lump. They sent her for an ultrasound. Praise the Lord the ultrasound came back negative — the doctors saw nothing. They said it must have been the way the breast was ‘squished’ during the mammogram that made it look like a lump!!! However, now she will be going back in 6 months to have more repeat testing done.

This is very close to my heart as my aunt has had both of her breast removed because of this terrible disease and also battles lupus. She is doing very well now and we pray every day that it stays that way. My mom has also battled breast cancer twice along with colon cancer one time. She is free of all cancers so we are very happy about that. I have had a lump removed that was not cancerous but have another lump that we have been watching closely every six months for the last year and a half. I actually go tomorrow to make sure it has not grown anymore. Let’s pray for good news. I also have another aunt on the other side of the family that died of breast cancer, so we have to keep a good eye out for the signs but also help out this organizaion whenever possible.

My grandma (Marvel George. Sweet name, right?) had breast cancer. She had such amazing style when she was younger, and I never really got to know her because she was always so sick. All I know is she made the best cinnamon rolls and we miss her. Let’s fight for the cure!
A family friend lost her battle to breast cancer about 7 years ago and another close friend of my husband’s lost her battle a few years before that. It’s something that all women should watch out for.
I also made a memory quilt for a friend who’s mom lost her battle to ovarian cancer.

My sister is on the last lap of her race….one more surgery. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 2009. She has been through so much and I am so proud of her and I am amazed at the grace she has shown through all of this. She has had a bi-lateral mastectomy and the surgeries involved in the reconstruction have been so extensive and painful. I’m fortunate enough to not have anyone in my family suffer through cancer. But I did feel inspired when Christina Applegate suffered through it, and faced it head on! She was so brave.

I just Liked the FB page. Great Cause!
Liked the fb page! What a great cause!
Thanks for sharing!
I liked the just ask facebook page.
Also I wanted to tell you of my aunt.
She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer & they in turn told her to go get her affairs
in order. In other words there was no hope.
She was a strong woman and wasn’t going to take that as an option.
She lived for 14 years after her dreadful diagnosis. Cancer may have gotten
her in the end but boy did she put up a fight. Till the very end!
I Liked the “Just Ask” Facebook page!!
I liked the Just Ask! page and was happy to participate. This is such a worthwhile cause and am happy to participate.
My next door neighbor battled breast cancer. Our parents live across the country and this sweet woman is like a grandmother to my girls. Thank God she was able to get the treatment she needed and now lives cancer free.
Ok, I liked “Just Ask” on facebook. I SO wanna win this camera! LOL
I liked Just Ask on Facebook. Great cause!
I “liked” this uber important cause. My step-mother battled and beat breast cancer a few years ago. The subject is real close to my heart. Cancer can happen to anyone at anytime. Early prevention/detection is key. Thanks for supporting such a great cause.
I hit the “Like” button. Keep up the great job you are doing.
My stepmother is a breast cancer survivor…while not hereditary in our case, I learned the importance of early detection which makes a huge difference in the outcome. She never has to remind me to make my mammogram appointments!
I don’t know if it counts, but I also tweeted it under my business twitter (thegartermaker)
I liked “Just Ask” on facebook.
I “Liked” the site. What a great way to raise money for a worthy cause. I had two close friends diagnosed and treated for breast cancer last year. Both are doing well after having a breast removed. That just proves that any money raised is definitely going to a worthy cause.
I liked “Just Ask” – thanks for promoting a great cause. Anything to help this nasty cancer go away. I’ve had too many friends diagnosed – too late.
I liked the page!
I just liked the web page! Thanks!
I liked their page the other day but my comment didn’t show up.
Cancer is all around me and it scares me. I work on a pediatric oncology floor where i see sick kids all the time. I also work with 2 breast cancer survivors who inspire me everyday. Then i also have PCOS which greatly increases my risk for Ovarian cancer which scares me to death. I have not known anyone with this, though i hope if i would ever get it, i would also be a strong fighter. SO this is a cause that is close to my heart in many ways! Thanks for such an amazing cause and give away!
I liked the Just Ask! Facebook page. My aunt has battled breast cancer, so this cause is near and dear to me.
My MIL is going through treatments right now. Thank goodness for her mamogram! She is doing great! It really put things into prespective for all of us in her family!
I have been fortunate up to at least this point in my life, to have escaped breast cancer, although my hubbys ex-spouse did, (We’ve been married 38 years) lost both breasts to it a few years back. I lost my mother to brain cancer in 1991 and my brother is currently fighting his 4th and worse battle with cancer for past year and a half. I know even at my age of 70, it may yet wait down the road for me. I already have empysema and require O2 part of the day and all night long, from having smoked for 35 years before quitting in 1990.
I love to take pictures and hope to win a camera such as in the drawing here, but the most important issue is fighting against cancer. We lost also a two year old nephew and a nine year old niece to brain cancer sometime back, and an almost 18 year old to Leukemia on my hubby’s side.
I believe in the pay forward philosophy and make and give away nice rag dolls to kids with cancer and other debilitating problems. I’ve given 33 away sdo far, with 2 local children being laid to rest with theirs. We have to know we are in this battle together.
Thanks for all you do on behalf of cancer.
Vickey
I liked their page,, thanks for the chance,, and what a great cause.
I liked their Facebook page.. Fantastic cause.. thank you for being a part of it.
I lost my mother to anti imflammatory breast cancer. She had already survived from lymphoma of the stomach and was in remission when she found the lump only 4 months after a negative mammogram. Please don’t forget your mammograms and self checks. You know your body better than anyone else.
I had an aunt who happened to also be my neighbor. She died of breast cancer years ago. I was just a kid, but I remember how awful the experience was for her kids and husband. It was heart wrenching and to top it off the father died a few years later. So so sad. The technology and medicines have improved. Thanks for what you’re doing.
I liked on FB and I tweeted!
I just liked the page on facebook, what a great cause!
I “liked” the page and also tweeted (@cheldie).

Thanks for supporting the cause. Everyone knows someone that has been affected by this horrible disease.
I liked Just Ask on FB.
I liked the Facebook page.
My memory to share is my mother. She had breast cancer and lost a breast. Over the next few years, she lost her life. She was an avid crocheter and made afghans for all of us right up to the point she couldn’t hold the hook any more. Mine was the last afghan made and she refused to quit until it was done. She is gone 5 years now but is with us every day in our heart.

I just “liked” the Just Ask page on Fb. I have lost 2 friends to Breast Cancer and another one was just diagnosed in Nov. Cancer is a horrible and cruel disease. My dad had malignant melanoma but survived it and in Dec. a football sized tumor was found on my spine. I pulled the long straw as currently mine is benign. My heart goes out to all those fighting this horrible disease.
I liked them on Facebook
I like Just ask on facebook.
We have a family friend who battled breast cancer for many years shortly after the birth of their second daughter. She was a fighter but the disease eventually took her life. Cancer detection and screening is so important even at an early age so that we can be around to help the future generations of our daughters and granddaughters!
Thanks for supporting this great cause. I have a friend going through breast cancer treatment right now.
I liked the Just Ask Facebook page. Glad somebody is shedding some light on this subject.
Liked on FB, wonderful cause thanks so much!!
I shared this important cause on Twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/heatherbandura
My husband’s sister has now lost both breasts to cancer. While the physical toll on her body has been substantial, the emotional toll has been worse. She is lucky. She has a loving husband and a very supportive family. And she is doing well, but the impact of the disease is devastating on the soul. I hope and pray for a cure. Thank you for raising awareness and funds to combat this terrible disease.
My husband has really been looking at this camera as his has seen better days. I liked hboc on facebook, tweeted here( oilymama )and I lost a dear friend 5 Years ago to ovarian cancer. She battled for 5 long years and all we could do was comfort her. Lets do something about that.
I “liked” the fb page.
My Grandmother and Aunt, as well as 3 of my mothers (maternal) female cousins have had breast cancer, only 4 of these ladies are survivors. I had a dr. tell me that unless my mother has breast cancer, then I would not be considered to have a family history of Breast Cancer. I knew she had to be wrong, so I changed doctors and insisted on having BRAC analysis. I tested positive for BRCA1. My sister is now being tested.
My cousin passed away from brest cancer last year, she was a very strong willed women, that fought it for many years. She is my inspiration to live each day to the fullest, don’t let anything stand in your way!!
what a wonderful thing!! just got ultrasound this week and am awaiting results… time to kill this killer
What a great campaign for such a worthy cause.
Sharing…My MIL has had breast cancer not once but twice and is a survivor. First she was able to just do radiation, but the 2nd time she had to have a masectomy on her other breast. It was very rough not only physically but emotionally too.
Most people are surprised by this but MEN can get breast cancer too. A lovely lady I worked with lost her husband to breast cancer and then she got it 7yrs later and is now a survivor.
Lots of hugs and thoughts to those that are fighting this.
I liked “just ask”
I would have clicked the like button even if there had been no drawing, I usually don’t win these anyway.
My mother is a breast cancer survivor. She found a dimple below her left breast, they did a biopsy and it was cancerous, when we went to discuss the surgery she decided that she wanted both taken off. Thank God she did, as she had a different type of breast cancer in her right one. My mother is my best friend, wonderful mom, awesome grandmother and great grandmother. I admire her and her strength as not only is she a survivor of breast cancer but also of colon cancer.
I liked the “Just Ask” facebook page, and I also re-tweeted this post!
One of my best friend’s (sherrie) mom (Helen) had breast cancer. I watched from the “outside” day to day as she battled it. She had such a great attitude, even when she lost her hair due to treatments. She fought so hard, but sadly, the cancer won~ I was there with my best friend in the hospital room when her mom passed away. It was the most heart-wrenching thing I’ve ever experienced. She was such a beautiful woman, inside & out and it was SO unfair that the horrible disease of breast cancer cut her down in her prime. We were only 19 at the time, and I still watch my friend struggle as she experiences the milestones of life without her mother there to experience them with her. I hope for this reason alone (among the 900 bazillion others) someday a cure will be found.
I liked the site on facebook Just Ask!! Thanks for contributing to the cause and the give away
I have several friends whose mothers have battled breast and ovarian cancer. So many of them have detected it early and are survivors, but a few have passed away. This is in memory of them.
I loved everything about the new episode there just aren’t enough of them. I have some very dear friends that are cancer survivors thank you for all you do and I also posted like on facebook.
Can you please do more on machine embroidery, I have ordered a book on digitizing I hope it will help me in that area. I’m needing to be a sponge right now and soak up everything anyone can teach me about machine embroidering.
Hello and THANK YOU for publishing this great cause! I don’t know a soul who has not been touched by BC in 1 way or another. Passion and support WILL find a cure. We do what we can right? For our daughters! BYW….you too are so funny together…I am jealous I never had a sister to spoof with!

I Just Liked on Facebook.
I have a sister that has breast cancer, she is in remision now. She is doing just fine for the time being. I do not wish this on anyone. It opens yours eyes up when it hits so close to home. Best wishes to who have this terrible thing and to all who have friends or family members with this. You are all in my prayers.
Thank you DIY for supporting a great cause.
My daughter-in-law just lost her mother to Ovarian Cancer in January. It was stage 4 before discovered. No one should have to die such a death.
I like this page. I am a survivor of the BRCA1 (breast and ovarian) cancer gene (diagosed at 29) along with a first cousin (paternal) at 29. We lost an aunt and four great aunts to breast and ovarian cancer. Early detection is the key to survival . SO Ladies you are never to young to start breast exams and cancer screening. Help spread the word, like this page.
Had a dear friend diagnosed with breast cancer. She won that fight, and although they told her she would never have kids, she has miraculously had three!! Miracles happen!
Okay, I just hit the like button the the “Just Ask” site. I am concerned for my twin daughters (26) as my husband’s mother had breast cancer.

I liked Just Ask on facebook. What a great cause, thanks for doing this! My maternal grandmother has had breast cancer and beat it. It was a long time ago, before I was even born. She has been through so much and this is just one of the many things she has had to fight through, she is a tough woman. She now has alzheimer’s disease and is fighting that as well. What a great example she is to me and to everyone she knows.

My daughter-in-law lost her mother to Ovarian Cancer in January. It was stage 4 before discovered and spread. It is a shame that someone has to endure that kind of suffering if it can be prevented. Great giveaway to support a wonderful cause.
My good friends mom had both breasts removed due to breast cancer. I was so impressed with how strong she was and how well she moved on with her life. She will always be an inspiration to me!
I “liked” the site Just Ask on FB.
I just “liked” the JustAsk facebook page. My sister-in-law and her sister both tested positive for ovarian and breast cancers markers. Their mother and grandmother have both battled aggresive breast cancers twice each. I used to work for an oncology group and have seen too many wonderful women with these cancers. I admire the women who survive this… even if their survival is only a few months. What strength and courage they have to face this.
I “likeed” the facebook page
My aunt was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had to have biopsies and surgery that was very painful…as of right now she is Cancer free but it has affected her and our family forever.
I liked on facebook.
I “liked” the Just Ask page on Facebook. I did this in memory of my friend Jean Gai, who lost her battle with breast cancer many years ago, leaving behind a husband and two children. She fought valiantly, and was an inspiration to me for her courage and faith in coping with this ordeal. There are so many families where you don’t talk about these things — but it is so important to raise awareness! This looks like a great web site.
Thanks for the contest!
HI, I liked the facebook page. Thanks for the opportunity
I just “liked” the page. Thanks for such awareness and the opportunity to win!
what a worthwhile cause! I have lost a sister-in-law to breast cancer at the age of 41, much too young.

I just liked the page. Got a lot of good info.
One of my neighbors who is also a mother of 4 just underwent a radical masectomy for breast cancer. Her courage and spirit is amazing.
I just liked it too!
A good 33 old friend lost her 6 year battle with breast cancer this past February. She leaves behind a wonderful husband and two young children. She fought a good battle and I know that the many experimental therapies that she endured will help others overcome cancer.
My mother suffered with breast cancer. I have lost many relatives to cancer. I support any project that will help find a cure so others will not loose the people who are most important to them. Tell everyone – - get checked! Examine every month!
I don’t know anyone personally who has breast cancer but I have helped to make quilts for seveal women who have had breast cancer.
We lost my Husbands Grandmother to Breast Cancer in 2006. My Grandmother is battling lung cancer. It is so hard to watch our loved ones go through this. I am so greatful to have had the oppertunity to learn from both of these great women. We have been told there is nothing more that can be done for my grandmother, and it is just a matter of time. We all need to contribute to teaching awareness. Thankyou for the opportunity to help.
I “liked” the facebook page! I think this is awesome that you are supporting such an uplifting cause.
I liked!! But I love!! The pefect photo to get with a new Cannon DSLR is that of a women who has just beat breast/ovarian cancer….What a wonderful testimony!! <3

I just “liked” the Just Ask Facebook Page. My daughter ice skated 3 years ago and one of her coaches had stage 4 breast cancer. She was able to overcome the cancer and is doing great. My daughter was able to witness first hand how it can effect your life and how important it is to be aware of cancer. Not to long after the coach was recovering a teammates mom also had breast cancer and tested postive for ovarian cancer cells. She to is doing well todate. Cancer effects so many people.

I have a co-worker who has been cancer free for a little over a year. She is an inspiration to all. Throughout her journey she always had a positive outlook and was more than willing to share. She shared every step of the way with us and the knowledge she learned along the way. I never once saw her down in the dumps because of her diagnoisis. What a great attitude!

Thank you so much for all you do!! This is a great cause! I have a dear friend who has just completed treatment for ovarian cancer. After 2 years of annual physicals and complaining of swelling and pain in her lower abdomen and being brushed off as weight gain and pulled muscle????? she ended up one night in the emergency room with extreme pain. They found a baseball size turmor on her ovary. Please Please listen to your instinct and get a second opinion, find another doctor and demand more test. You know your body best.

I am happy to be part of this. I just liked it!!!!
We just held an event for breast cancer awareness and fund raising with the HS girls basketball team. There were so many people that told us about loved ones who battled breast cancer! It was inspiring to hear the stories of the breast cancer survivors.
I just Liked JUST ASK on FB.
My mother-n-law passed away from ovarian cancer a little over a year ago – she had had a complete hysterectomy 35 years before however one teeny tiny microscopic cell must have been left behind which turned cancerous and spread to other vital organs so don’t think you are safe from this disease even if you have had a hysterectomy.
Oh yes! I LIKED the Facebook page!!!
I am an 8 year breast cancer survivor!! It was the hardest lowest point of my life. But with the love and support of my family and the grace of my sweet Lord I made it and am cancer free!
Liked! My husband is a researcher for similar diseases. Every little bit helps find cures.
This weighs incredibly on my heart. My grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal breast cancer on feb. 5, 2011 and was told she probably wouldn’t make it to next year and to start making plans. Over the next couple of weeks she got progressively worse and she passed away fighting on feb. 19, 2011. She was like a mother to me and raised me like no one else could. She will forever be in my heart and I don’t think it has kicked in yet that she is gone. Needless to say, my grandpa has not accepted it either and I have moved in with him to take care of him since he is battling prostate cancer and skin cancer all while just getting out of rehab for a massive heart attack that required open heart surgery to fix 2 leaky valves and to have a double bypass performed. I have a 5 month old son so the camera would be AMAZING to capture those special moments!
I also have a grandma who survived both ovarian and breast cancer!! She lived to be an amazing 94!!!! She has had such an amazing impact on my life!!!
Ok, the Just Ask Facebook page has been “Liked”.
As far as I know, there has been no case of breast cancer in 4 generations of my biological ancestors on either side of the family, including myself.
However, at age 28 I had surgery to remove a rare form of ovarian tumor, along with the ovary that had been encroached by the large tumor.
Symptoms had begun at age 13 but was dismissed by all physicians up to the point that endometriosis was unbearable and the tumor was confirmed as a side note.
Since then, I have had two surgeries to remove malignancies, both unrelated to breast or gynecological systems, but with my early history and subsequent cancers, I am vigilant to note any and all early signs.

My grandmother had cancer and she died before I was born. I just remember the stories that my mom use to tell me about how fun and what a great mom she was to her.
My cousin recently was diagnosed with ovarian cancer- she will be having her ovaries out in the near future. I only hope that she winds up getting through and becoming healthy again. I’m sure she is glad to already have her children.
Way to go Twins!!! I too have a Mother who died of cancer. Thanks for including all of us!

Liked Just Ask on FB & Tweeted – I am always amazed by the strength and courage of people I’ve known with Breast cancer. No one ever seems to give in, that is so encouraging.
There have been way too many women in my family who have fought breast cancer, not to mention various other forms of cancer, and I myself am a survivor of stage 3 endometrial (uterine) cancer which had spread to both ovaries. These genetic tests did help give my sister and my mom some peace of mind, though, when we found that my cancer wasn’t related to either BRCA gene or to the gene that links uterine & colon cancer.
Great cause!

My son (30yrs) has a good friend who is struggling with Ovarian Cancer at the young age of 30. Best friend had Breast Cancer (fingers crossed that she is totally cured after 1 1/2 years.
Thanks for the exposure to continued education on these 2 evil diseases.
My Aunt Holly battled breast cancer for so long. She had been my mom’s best friend since the second grade & was like family to us. One of the last things she wanted to see before she passed away was to see my son Michael born, which she did. My husband at the time was deployed & my mom lived 3000 miles away, but Holly was there. She thanked me afterwards for letting her share in his birth, and died less than 2 years later. She is greatly missed.
I know a lady who is battling Ovarian Cancer right now and although she is going through so much pain and suffering she is always smiling whenever I see her. This is a great way to help those who might be battling breast/ovarian cancer!

My Aunt Tamera has battled Breast Cancer and is a Breast Cancer survivor. It is real and can effect many people. My Aunt has had a very positive outlook and has inspired many in her battle. Our Attitudes towards Breast Cancer awareness can really change a lot of lives if we make the promise to Take the time to get checked. Take the time to learn the signs and learn to do self breast exams. Also to encourage our friends, mother’s, sisters & coworkers to do the same.

I liked the facebook Just Ask page, also retweeted this link… I have met many people over the years that have been survivors to breast cancer, and their courage and determination to survive for their families is inspiring.. this is such a wonderful cause, and when I can I alway purchase items supporting breast cancer…
I have a dear friend named Rae Ellen. Actually, I worked for them in their home. Her sister died of Breast Cancer on the third reoccurrence. When Rae Ellen found out she had Breast Cancer, she was devastated. She had it removed and had a Mastectomy. She was a lucky one. She has had no re occurrences. I remember the first time I saw her after chemo and her hair had fallen out. It was a shock but she handled it with grace and poise. She is an incredible lady. I miss them so much as they have moved to another state.
Just “liked” your Just Ask Facebook Page! I have a dear friend currently battling breast cancer so this cause is near to my heart! Thanks for increasing our awareness!
Just “liked” the Just Ask FB page. I am a nurse and I used to work with breast cancer patients and will always have them in my memories. I have made items for their fundraisers at the hospital where I work. I love making “pink” stuff.
I just liked the FB page. THANKS!
I liked the facebook page.
My mom Just finished her radiation treatments. It doesn’t suprize our family. She is the fourth woman in my family to have breast cancer. One has had ovarian cancer. one died. one was under 30 and it was so aggressive she had a double mastectomy. My moms oncologist warned all of us girls not to do any hormone replacement therapy or birthcontrol for that matter. She is currently taking the five year pill to keep her estrogin under controll. hopefully it will work and she will have no more cancer.! Please.!
On a good note. even though my grandma had cancer three times. breast twice and ovarian, she survived them all. she died last year of old age. cool huh!
I just “LIKED” the facebook page for Heireditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer. Thank you for this easy opportunity to help them raise funds. DIY just like Cannon had come to stand for a trustworthy and reliable company. You help us find new craft ideas and Cannon helps us record them. Thanks again for making this so easy.
I am happy to like the page and just did so. Thanks for the opportunity to support such a valuable cause
I liked the facebook page. Thanks!
I just liked them too. What a great thing, I think everyone has had their life touched by cancer, its such an awful disease. I hope someday they will find a cure.

I “liked”it, what a good way to get the information out.
Loving this idea! what a great way for all of us to honor those who we hold close to our hearts! I “liked” it! telling me friends to do it too! My mother is a survivor of cancer, so this is important to me! Thank you!!
I liked Just Ask!
I liked on FB, sent the tweet.
I didn’t know my great grandma, but I know that she battled breast cancer, as did some of her sisters. I have also known many women who have battled and won, and battled and lost. I hope they find a cure, soon!
I also know several who have battled ovarian cancer.
I have an aunt that battled breast cancer and the other effects from it for years and sadly, lost her battle several years ago. My grandma also had ovarian cancer that spread and is currently fighting that battle. I think everyone has been touched by these cancers in one way or another and we can only hope and fight for a cure one day soon!
I liked the FB page and also have 2 friends in long battles with cancer.
I just tweeted and liked the fb page- hope this gets a lot of interest. Cancer awareness in general is so important. Breast cancer and Ovarian cancer can go undetected for many of us because we are unaware of the tests to ask for or self-exams to do. I strongly urge all women to get checked regularly!
I liked Just Ask and I thank God every day I don’t have a story to tell from my family of breast or ovarian cancer.
I liked the page. This is such a wonderful cause and I hope I can help raise awareness
Liked and Tweeted- way to help the cause ladies!!!!!!

I “like” Just Ask HBOC on Facebook.
My Mom passed away from this ugly stuff. She got breast cancer and had both breasts removed. Everything was good for about 10 years and then it came back in a vengence. She got it in the bone and needless to say she broke them in 3 differnt areas before she passed on and out of her pain. I give a lot of my money to Sloan Kettering Research Center so that they can continue to find new ways in which to get rid of this nasty desease. My son died of lukemia back in the 80′s. Today he would be alive with all the new medications and cures they have for this type of cancer. Thanks for being a part of a good cause.
My two Breast Cancer stories are my Mother-in-Law and my friend Denise. My Mother-in-Law is a breast cancer and ovarian cancer survivor, that lady is tough and we love her and are glad she is still around. My friend Denise was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 45, she is also a survivor, it was a tough road for her, but she is so strong. My husband and I both walked last year in both of there honor. I am glad to support this cause. Thank you for your support!
Oh, and I tweeted too: http://twitter.com/#!/hjkllkjh/status/51002438236372993

I just liked Just Ask. Thanks for helping to support a good cause.
I am thankful that some are trying to raise awareness.
I just liked the Just Ask Facebook page. Both my grandmother and aunt had breast cancer. My grandmother lost her battle, but my aunt is a survivor. What a great way to raise awareness of this terrible disease.
We lost my Dear Mother in Law after her couragous fight, to breast cancer in 1982..she is still missed daily..I hope I live to see the day that this terrible desease is no longer distroying lives…
My sweet mother battled Breast Cancer for 22 years! She was diagnosed at age 29 and lost her battle on July 21st, 2009. She’s VERY much missed by her three daughters and her five grandkids. Her illness began as breast cancer and then moved to different parts of her body. At the end it was stomach cancer that took her life. It is my duty as her daughter to bring awareness to other women, because early detection could save their lives!

I liked this on facebook.
Just did it
I cannot say enough good things about a WONDERFUL friend of mine that is a breast cancer survivor. She is beautiful on the inside and out! She stood strong in her faith and God carried her through a very difficult time. It has been three years since she completed her chemotherapy and she continues to stand strong in her walk with the Lord. She is a blessing to all that know her!
I just “liked” the Just Ask FB page! What a fantastic way to raise funds for this dreaded disease.
I liked the Just Ask page too! Very pleased to see the DIY Dish partnering with such meaningful causes! Keep up the great work!
I liked the Facebook page for HBOC!
I tweeted about HBOC Facebook page at my Twitter account @cutecrochet
I want to share a memory and a prayer that someone’s mom, sister, aunt, grandma or even son, husband, father (men can get breast cancer too) will never have this or at least there will be a cure. I pray every day that my Grand daughter’s other Grand mother knows my beautiful Grandbaby through my eyes, my hugs and my kiss as Shannon was stolen from her right before her birth. I smile at our Grand Baby and say “Shannon look at our girl” it isn’t fair that she can’t have the two of us. It isn’t fair that I can’t fight Shannon over who gets Reilee this weekend. I pray so hard that no one else has to miss out. Let’s get the word out…
I “liked” the Just Ask! Page on Facebook.
Great cause!! I liked it!
This campaign is very close to my family’s heart. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, (YAY!) but I also have a sister who died of breast cancer in 2003. Thank you, Kim and Kris for sponsoring this!
Thank you for helping to raise awareness to HBOC. I “liked” your page.
I liked!! What wonderful way to promote Breast Cancer screening. My Mother was a breast cancer survior for 26 years after having a radical mastectomy at age 43. She passed away last year from another form of cancer within only a few weeks of finding out she had it. My middle sister also was diagnoised with breast cancer in her 30′s, and had a partial mastectomy. I am praying for a cure for not only Breast Cancer, but for all cancer. I hate to see more women suffer like my Mother did in her passing.
Just tweeted about the campaign. Great idea, BTW!
I liked it (Mom, miss you).
I Liked the page, too! What a great cause. Thanks.
What a wonderful opportunity you have to make so many women be aware of breast and ovarian cancer. I appreciate you using your platform to help so many others. I am sure that each of us have someone we know who has been affected by this. I have several in my life, some lived and some not so lucky. I wish they could stop it in its track and make it nonexistent, until then, all we can do is to pray and have hope that someday that will happen. I definitely “like” them on FB.
I just liked the page on FB! Also, this is a pretty cool way to get donations.
What’s not to like about raising awareness and working towards prevention and cure. Very easy to “like” this on FB and pass the word.
My aunt in one side and my cousin on another both battled/are battling breast cancer. Both of them strong women who have brought many other women together through their experience. Women are incredible and inspiring. I’m thrilled to be one.

One of my dearest friends fought a 4 year battle with Ovarian Cancer, and now, she is in heaven. She died at the young age of 39, and I miss her so much. Thanks for your raising awareness for this cause!
I just liked the Just Ask facebook page– nice to help a great cause!
one of my best friends had breast cancer. one summer her two little girls were always welcome to live at my house. as she went through her treatments, she was so tired and ill. yet she would want to see her children, i guess to remember the reason she was fighting so hard. if she had one ounce of strength, she would use it to enjoy them. anyway, now, a few years later, my kids were getting ready to go to the big breast cancer awareness walk-a-thon in our area and i said, wow, i almost forgot about you being a survivor. she said she almost had too – and that that was a milestone too.
Great way to get the word out & to raise funds! I ‘liked’ it on my fb page as well!

My best friend, her daughter and a co-worker are all breast cancer surviors. Thank you for raising the awareness for this cause.
I just ‘liked’ the Just Ask! Facebook page. Thank you Kim and Chris for sponsoring this important contest that helps bring awareness to this horrible disease!
recently a neighbor was diagnosed with breast cancer right in the middle of a divorce. what a blessing to watch the neighborhood come together to be her family. she was coming home the day of the huge breast cancer walk-a-thon. the neighbors, young and old alike, went to the event and wore t-shirts and carried a banner for her. then they prepared a special welcome home banner highlighting the event to her when she came home. she is a hero. and it is a blessing to watch my children willingly support this hero by getting up at six in the morning on a saturday and walking miles, even my seven-year-old. i think it is the youngest among us who often understand the most.
My mom battled breast cancer and I’m happy to say that she has been cancer free for over 10 years now! This is such a worthy cause. Thanks for helping spread the word!
I liked just ask!!
Just clicked like on Facebook. We are all touched in some way by this horrible disease. My son’s Pre-K teacher is a survivor. I look to her and admire her strength and love for life and the Lord. She is an amazing woman. Love ya DEB!
liked their page-thanks for the opportunity
my sister-in-law is also a survivor. most of her family lived not too far. we lived on the other side of the country. but my memory of her was when the family gathered for a reunion and her 5 brothers (my husband included) stood around her and gave her a priesthood blessing. what a glorious picture of strength and faith. i am very happy to say she is well these many years later.

All women deserve health care to live their best lives and this donation will definitely assist in making breast care health available to all.
I know several women that are survivors and several that lost the battle. They were all very courageous.

My father had a lump in his breast which had to be removed. Thank God it was not cancer but it certainly was a wake up call. Everyone thinks about women with breast cancer but it can happen to men too, albeit not as frequently.
My mother and grandmother are both breast cancer survivors. I hope to follow in their footsteps as I am currently undergoing treatment for this nasty disease! It has been quite a journey since my diagnosis in August.

My mom was an ovarian cancer survivor.
After 2 go-rounds, my Grandmother was a breast cancer survivor. Through everything she went thru, she never lost her faith in the Lord and knew that he would lead her through. Which he did. She was and continues to be one of my biggest heroes!
Remembering the lady that sold me my first Bernina. She fought a courgeous battle against breast cancer. May God bless her soul.
I liked Just Ask on Facebook
My sister has been cancer free for about 20 years now Thank GOD for what wonderful things DR can do now.
i liked the just ask, putting it on my wall also so more people can like and they can raise more money. My mom had several scares with breast cancer so i am all for helping out. Thanks
I have known about breast cancer ‘fore ever’ but not hereditary breast cancer until a friend of mine was tested recently after a melignant lump was removed from her breast. She is now undergoing chemo but is still unaware of the results of her hereditary blood tests and faces a double mastectomy or radiation treatment after her chemo has finished.
thank you so much for raising the awareness of it’s existence…..as a single person you feel unable to help, but pulling together, it WILL make a difference to all of us!
I ABSOLUTELY like this cause!
Just Ask is a great cause.

I liked the Just Ask facebook page! Thank you!
I like the Just Ask FB and enjoyed the questionair, I lost my mom at age five to DD and so I didn’t know her health history. About five years ago my doctor found a lump in my breast. thank God after a biopsy, mamo, and ultrasound at the age of 32 I was very lucky to have it cleared and dx with other… no cancer. I got very educated during that time and am now a supporter of breast cancer awareness and tell all the gals to get a breast exam. A girlfriend of mine however had not gotten one even knowing her grandma and her mom and aunt had breast cancer. Her mom is a survivor. After she went through my examinations and scare she since then has been getting yearly exams and is good.
I “liked” Just Ask! What a wonderful campaign! We have had several women in our family affected by this terrible disease…

While I am not that old -50, I have had too many friends battle Breast Cancer. I lost my grandmother to breast cancer. She is such a huge part of who I am and it hurt so bad to loose her. I have 2 friends right now who are receiving chemo for breast cancer. I take one to her treatments. I dream of the day we find a cure for this horrible disease!
I liked the Just Ask Facebook page.

My mother in law battled breast cancer and won!
My grandmother had ovarian cancer and beat it! She passed away last April at the age of 91, so she lived a very full life. I am glad she was able to beat this cancer and live her life to the fullest. She was an amazing lady and I will never forget her or her strength.
I liked on facebook and on Just Ask. I feel very close to this cause because my mother had 2 different Cancers in her life and she died of a heart Attack. She was a very lucky woman. My Aunt my moms sister died of Breast Cancer. My Dad died of lung cancer and my husband died of lung cancer. I would do anything I could to help anyone get treated early. Thank you so much for doing this. Of course winning a new Cannon wouldn’t be so bad either. Thanks
My family has battled both breast cancer and ovarian. My Grandmother is an ovarian cancer survivor of 30 years now!!!! We are so happy to spread that news every chance we get! My Aunt is a 15 year breast cancer survivor. I sure hop I inherited those fighting genes both these wonderful women have! But my heartbreak comes that my best friend lost her mother to breast cancer 20 years ago. We still share the pain of her loss and miss her still today.
My mom had breast cancer and survived. She had a radical mastectomy/radiation treatments. She was operated on when she was in her 40′s and passed away at 87. She did survive the cancer. We must find a cure.

My Aunt SURVIVED!!! She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the end of 2008! After chemo, intense radiation therapy, and a double mastecomy she is living a happy life enjoying her three beautiful grandchildren!! Big shout out to the wonderful staff at MD Anderson in Houston!!
My mother had breast cancer and beat it! It was detected early because she had a mammogram. She had to have a masectomy and had some lympnodes removed but didn’t have to go through chemo. (thank heavens!) Even though she was in her late 60′s when she got breast cancer, I have yearly mammograms now, even though I am only in my 40′s. I suggest you all do the same!
Thank you for the giveaway and the heads up about this great cause!
When I was a little girl, my maternal grandmother had breast cancer-and beat it! I have memories of sitting outside her hospital room window, looking in while my mom would be inside with her.
Sadly, a few years later she passed away from a different form of cancer-but I have many wonderful memories of her life and our moments together.
♥♥
I worked with an engineer over ten years ago who had an aggressive form of breast cancer. She was on a business trip when she noticed the lump. When she came back to the states from her trip, she went to the doctor. She underwent chemo and all that. She was only in her 20′s or 30′s, very young. Through it all, she was always upbeat and positive. She continued to come to work when she could and worked from home when she couldn’t make it in. I was impressed with her strength and faith in God. I never knew what happened to her because I moved back to Hawaii while she was still undergoing treatment. I never did forget her though.

My grandmother had breast cancer and had a double mastectomy. She’s still alive and cancer free, but it was a hard and difficult surgery with very emotional issues tied to it. I would never want anyone to have to go through what she did.

I’ve had a grandmother and three aunts battle with breast cancer. Some have done better then others, but I pray for the day when a cure can be found or better detection methods so that I don’t have to see the women in my family lost parts of their body and fight so hard to remain whole.
My mother-in-law best breast cancer 5 years ago. Early detection helped to save her life. Unfortunately, my grandmother waited too long. She recently passed one month after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
I liked Just ask on Facebook. I am blessed not to have had ovarian cancer or know any family or friends who have been faced with it.

As a young(ish) mother, my greatest fear is leaving my little ones- Breast cancer and ovarian cancer steals mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, nieces, friends, teachers, and mentors too often. I have known several strong women who have battled with these types of cancer, and it is my hope that someday it won’t take any more women.

My husband’s grandmother is a breast cancer survivor going on 10 years now. She’s soon to be 86 years old.
A good friend of mine was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer in her early twenties, fortunately it’s in remission now and she is doing well.
I liked the fb page. Glad to help raise money in such an EASY way. My family has been greatly blessed with only 2 people having cancer, my father at age 75, and one of my grandson’s at age 3 months, both are suvivors, my father is now 85 and my grandson is 21. I thank God daily for their health.
I “liked” the Just Ask facebook page.
Liked the JUST ASK page. My mother-in-law died from breast cancer that spread to her bones. Never in a million years do I want another person to have to go thru that pain!!!
I had a nurse I worked for for 10 years who developed breast cancer. She was the type who took care of herself, drank water, healthy meal, exersized the whole works. It just goes to show you anyone can get it. She opted for removal of both her breasts and today is doing great. Still working. I really do admire her.
I just liked the Just Ask Facebook page, hope much money is raised !

I friend at church battled ovarian cancer last year, and she’s now cancer free! She such a beautiful ray of sunshine to everyone who knows her, and she never lost that positive energy throughout the entire process. She’s such an inspiration! And I’m running a 5K ovarian cancer fund raiser in her honor in May.

Just liked the Just Ask! FB page.
My godmother, who was my mom’s cousin, close friend, maid of honor, passed away several years. Her 2 daughters are keeping a close watch on their health.
I just liked the Just Ask Facebook page. My aunt survived breast cancer, thank God.
A friend, Shirley, was such an encouragement to me when I first met her. She had a “can do” attitude in the midst of many people who were telling my husband and I what couldn’t be done. She and her husband then began raising their 10 year old twin granddaughters. Then, a few years ago, ovarian cancer was diagnosed. She went through everything with that same “can do” attitude. When others would withdraw through such a challenge, she kept encouraging others. She’s now with Jesus and we miss her, but her husband and granddaughters carry on with “can do” spirits in their attitudes. My life has been extremely blessed because of Shirley. Blessings!

What a great cause and so happy to support it! I am actually going to see a friend who is in the middle of fighting breast cancer. She has such a positive attitude and I know she can beat it!
I just “liked” justask on facebook. I know 3 ladies that were very close to me, die of breast cancer. One of them was my sister-in-laws mother. I also have an aunt that is fighting ovarian cancer. I can remember when I was a kid you never heard or even knew anyone that had cancer. Now just about everyone has someone they know that has/had cancer. Early detection is the key.
I twitted about this.
This is a cause that is so special to me. My niece who is 33 was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in Oct, and has 3 more rounds of chemo left. Then a double mastectomy will follow, the radiation. She is so positive that she actually helps us grieve through this. She is an amazing single mother of 2 daughters, with her “Fight Like a Girl!” attitude I have Faith that she is going to beat this! A really great cause. I “liked” on Facebook!
I liked Just Ask on Facebook. My sister-n-law is a breast cancer survivor!!!! YEAH! What a great cause.
Ovarian and breast cancer awareness and support are very near and dear to my heart. My baby sister was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 31 years old. She had to undergo a mastectomy. This is a terrbiale diesase. It has alos affected my grandmother who underwent lumpectomy fo rher treatment. I myself have underwent a lumpectomy for excisional biopsy. I was very lucky it came back negative for cancer that was 3 years ago. I was so very scared. Also my neice Laura who is in her early 20′s was diagnosed of ovarain cancer almost 2 years ago. She has underwnet several surgieris and months of horrible chemotherapy. She has a 6 year old daughter. My neice lost all of her body hair to the chemo therapy. We are so lucky to still have her with us … She is extremly young . Ovarian cancer typically affects older ladies. She is a rarre cas eof it being in someone so young. They think that our family carries a genetic trait for these female type cancers. I cannot stress enough the importance of early detections and screenings. Ladies please have your paps and mamograms done routinely…they honestly can save your life. These cancers are sitelnt killers. ladies I am so glad to see you supporting this worthy cause.
I just “liked” the FB page. Such a great cause- I work with breast cancer patients- I am a mammographer. Every little thing we can do to help these women….

I like JustAsk! on fb.
I just liked the “Just Ask” Facebook page. As an RN working on a medical floor in a community hospital I see patients fighting these diseases on an almost daily basis. I have seen some very young women battling these cancers and the impact it has on their families can be devastating. One of my daughter’s best friends was only 12 when she lost her mother to breast cancer. I will never forget the grief on this little girl’s face. I also have looked after women who have successfully battled breast cancer and the joy they experience when they are told they are cured is immeasurable. We all need to do whatever we can to help find a cure for these and other cancers.
I posted my “like”. Great cause we can all support.
Ok, I did it. Happy to help a great cause.

Hi Kim and Kris, I am not Facebook person at all, but I think this is a great cause. I have a couple of friends that have had double mastectomies and are doing great. Thank God for that and I hope they continue to do great. Keep up the good work girls.
I lost my MIL to cancer 5 years ago. She had uterine cancer, breast cancer and finally pancreatic cancer. Her doctors said the 3 were unrelated and that that was unheard of. She was a wonderful mom and grandmother and we miss her so.
Breast cancer runs strongly on my mothers’ side of the family. My mother had her breast (left) removed 15 years ago. I am screened every October during breast cancer month. Last year I had to have a biopsy but it turned out to be okay. Thank God!

I like BRAC Scouts what a great way to get young girls educated and involved! My sister has had a masectomy, due to breat cancer, luckily it was not a hereditary type of cancer because she has three beautiful daughters. Evenso it was a very difficult time in her life but she is a survivor!

I “liked” the FB Just Ask page. Thanks for sharing this worthy cause and the opportunity.
I just liked their page. what an important cause.
My Aunt has terminal ovarian cancer. She has outlived what the doctors predicted many times. She is a walking miracle. I am homeschooling my cousin with my girls this year. I hope she will be around for him for many more years.
A very close cousin of mine is currently battling breast cancer. It was such a shock to us all. She is only 34 years old and a mother to two young children. So far, her doctors are pleased with her response to treatment. She’s been on a very aggressive chemo regimen and I think will also undergo a mastectomy at a later date. She has had a positive outlook through it all and seems to have kept her spirits up, which I think can only help her.
I like just ask page, they are very informative. Just what every woman needs is to be more informed.
Thanks,
Linda E

My mother and I lost two of her sisters to ovarian cancer. Both of my aunts had yearly checkups including pelvic exams, but by the time the tumors were found it was to late to save their lives. This is such an insidious disease that we need to find a definite predictor. Mother and I are participating in a trial at the University of Kentucky to determine if yearly trans-vaginal ultrasounds can catch this disease early/
My great-grandmother had breast cancer…it was very hard for her. She had a double mastectomy. Thanks for getting the word out!!!

Share a thought about someone who had cancer…
My Dad didn’t have a chance to survive. He had two of the most aggressive cancers there are and within two months he died.
Hospice and his doctors were wonderful. They helped him not suffer any more than he had to, but he still suffered….horribly.
I miss him so badly. I feel such a loss without him in my daily life.
I have many wonderful memories of him…too many to list. One memory that is strong in my mind today is when I was little and we played ball. I had a favorite lime green ball and he would throw it as far up into the air as he could. It was out of sight. When it came back down, I would run and try to catch it. If I missed, it would bounce so high that it was higher than the roof of the house. I thought Dad was like SuperMan because he could throw so high!
He was SuperMan. He was my Dad.
I added my “LIKE” to all the others on their facebook page.
Hoping when my Facebook friends see that I like it they will too!

I am happy to “like” this website for an awesome cause!!!!
I want to say “thank you” to all the women I have known in my life who have been affected by breast cancer. I was always so scared about getting it, but as I have talked to my friends and my mom about it, I know now I can face anything because of the courage and strength they have shown in facing the treatments they go through in getting better. I especially want to thank my own mom who said so many years ago, “if I get cancer, I do not want to go through any kind of chemo treatment”. Years later my mom did get breast cancer. I am so proud of her for being brave and going through her treatments successfully! I do not even think she knows how much that means to me because we want her here a very long time! So I want to thank you DIY Dish for doing this website because we have to face want we are all going to face in one way or another and the more we know, the less scared we should be.

I lost my intelligent, beautiful Daughter, Michelle just last July. She fought the battle and we thought she had won more than once, but she is gone! I have lost my best friend and my baby!
Like the page on facebook.
My close friend Sarah’s mom died from breast cancer when my friend was a teenager – it was a very tough loss for her to lose her mom so young. It has definitely made us both more aware of breast cancer… since my friend is at greater risk she has to have mammograms earlier than usual, but she did breastfeed (as did I) for several years (which some studies suggest reduces the risk of breast cancer). The more awareness the better!
I just “liked” the Just Ask page on facebook.
I lost a aunt to breast cancer and just last month I lost my mother to lung and brain cancer. Cancer is horrible, they need to do more research for all the types of cancer. I only ever hear about the types of cancer that affect kids and breast cancer, rarely the other types of cancer like the small cell cancers that took my mother in a short 8 months after diagnosis.

I have a friend… (well we re not close more acquaintances) we will call her Sara. Sara about 2 years ago found a lump. She was 23 at the time. Anyway Sara had a lump found in her breast. Right after she lost her her health insurance.
WELL then she tried to get it again nly to be told she had a pre-exsisting condition. ALL this was going on and still no concrete diagnosis. She walked the 3-day that year and the next year. It ended up NOT being cancer but it was still not a good thing to see. a TWENTY THREE year old looking at the possibility of cancer. AND no insurance to boot.
I just liked Just Ask on FB! I think this is awesome!! My Grandma died in 1996 from cancer. Both my little brother and nephew are survivors of brain tumors so I support any and all fights against this terrible disease.
I clicked the like button on Just Ask fb page! I have a dear friend who is in the battle right now for Ovarian cancer. She was diagnosed in January. Praying for a complete healing
I posted on my FB page, liked it and I wanted to share about one fo my best friends who fought breast cancer. She found a lump, had a masectomy, did chemo and that works, to find another lump one year later. She fought again and did the same as before. Losing your hair twice should earn a badge of honor. She has been clean for almost 4 years now and we are hoping she is clean forever. What a great example of how she beat this cancer.

My aunt and her daughter, my cousin, both beat breast cancer! I have several friends who have also suffered from this horrible breast cancer but thankfully they made it. It is heartbreaking to realize how many people that we all know who have had breast cancer and ovarian cancer. This disease needs a cure NOW!! Hopefully this campaign will help raise lots of money for the research and cure of cancer.
I just liked the facebook page.
I have an aunt and a grandmother that both had breast cancer. My hope is that one day there will be a cure for this horrible disease and no other women will have to endure all that goes with that horrible diagnosis.
This is my 6year anniversary of being a SURVIVIOR! my hope is that many many others can say the same.
Liked the FB page.
I had an aunt who fought breast cancer. She was still around 5 years after she was told she had only a few months to live. Apparently, no one had told her body that she was supposed to die. I honestly believe that with a disease like this, attitude means everything. Keep fighting!

So far, I have no breast cancer in my family= YEA! But I know that isn’t any guarantee. I have two lovely daughters, so . . . I am hoping that they are immune and I am praying for all those women who have to fight this terrible battle.

I liked it ! Thank you for supporting such a great cause. I lost my mom to breast cancer when I was 19. My sister and her daughter as well as my mother in law and sister in law have fought this aweful disease. I hope and pray they find a cure.
having lost 2 good friends to breast cancer, 2 sisters who were both in their 40′s, this is a cause close to my heart.
Out of 5 sisters in my family 3 have had breast cancer. I lost one sister to breast cancer about 6 years ago. The other 2 are doing fine and are in remission right now.
Such a good cause! My Mom died of breast cancer when I was 17. I pray that we can find a cure one day.

What a great giveaway, for a great cause.
I was diagnosed with unertine cancer in 1999 and after a total hysterectomy I have been cancer free 12 years. We as woman must be our own advocates when it comes to our bodies. We know our bodies best. When you feel something is not right have it checked out. If you don’t feel you got the right answer seek another opion. Medicine is not an exact science and doctors go by facts and figures and many do not take our “feelings” into consideration. Right now I have a friend, who is a breast cancer survivor, batteling liver and gall bladder cancer. I cry for her everyday. I pray that God will help us mere mortals to discover a cure for this awful thing called “cancer” in whatever form it is.
I liked the Just Ask! Facebook page! Great cause….

I’ve been blessed to not have anyone have breast cancer, but I have been unfortunate to have many loved ones with other forms of cancer. It’s a horrible thing.
Great cause! I know too many women that are fighting breast cancer right now.

A dear friend of mine from church was diagnosed with breast cancer and it has been so hard to watch her and her family struggle through all that this terrible disease brings. The sickness, the emotions, the uncertainty, the financial struggles. All of it is so awful. She is such a lovely woman, I pray for her and her family daily.
I liked the just ask. My mom is a breast cancer survivor. She has been fighting cancer for 27 years. It is back, but they say slow growing and because of her age they cannot treat her – She is now 86. for her keeping a positive attitude was a key – I’ve only seen her down a couple of times. And that is just recently.
A family friend was diagnosed with cancer. She is a survivor and did the Race for Life run with us that raises awareness for breast cancer!
I liked the Just Ask! Facebook page!
My mother-in-law and best friend’s mother both battled breast cancer, and I’m happy to say, they have won their battle!
My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have one of her breasts removed. She has been cancer free for 6 years (almost 7 years)now. she was 63 years old when the cancer was discovered. The cancer was in it’s earliest stages…just a tiny marble size. It is so important to be tested on a regular basis so that cancer can be exposed early. There are 8 girls in our family, so we take this very seriously!
Thanks

I liked the Just Ask! about Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (HBOC) FB page, and am coming back here to enter your contest for the digital camera. This is such a good cause. Thank you.
A few of my mother’s friends have had (and defeated) breast cancer. We have talked about how this dreaded disease affected their lives, and how early detection can have very possitive results. Fortunately, (and this may be in part to the awareness that we all have regarding precautions about breast cancer), none of my friends have had (or have) breast cancer. I would like to see this disease (and all cancers, for that matter), completely wiped out. This could be done in my lifetime, with supported research and education.

Thank you for the just ask. My best friend died 2 years ago from Breast Cancer. This really touched me. This gave me another way of paying tribute to my friend. I pray they find a cure soon so nobody else has to loose a loved one to Breast or Ovarian Cancer.

My Friends mom had Breast Cancer. she battled and won! I hope they can find a cure soon so no one else has to battle or watch someone battle for their life.
i just liked your “Just Ask” fb page. Thanks for supporting a great cause:)
I “liked” it!
I am a 5 yr BC survivor and I can’t tell you what all the support for great causes like this means to to me!!
I’ve liked the Just Ask page. My husband’s aunt went through breast cancer and has been cancer-free for about 5 years now! She’s a gentle soul, but with an obviously strong fighting spirit! A good friend of mine, spunky and outgoing, also a fighter, was diagnosed with breast cancer about 4 years ago. The diagnosis quickly changed from stage 1 to stage 4. Currently she doesn’t have to take chemo, though the doctors told her she’d never be cancer free. Another close friend was diagnosed VERY early with breast cancer and the treatment was relatively easy. She’s doing very well. Too many other people I know have had been diagnosed with one form of cancer or another, including my blessed mother who I lost in 1998 to pancreatic cancer (her mother, also, died from pancreatic cancer when I was just 6 mos. old), my mother in law, currently struggling with lymphatic cancer, a co-worker with advanced cancer (not sure they’ve even diagnosed just what kind it is). I pray that researchers will find the causes and cures soon.
I liked your FB page. Thanks for supporting a great cause!
I liked your page! I love helping others and will do what I can.
I never knew anyone that had breast cancer, but my great grandmother’s sister died from it. Ever since I knew that, I’ve donated to the Susan G Komen foundation and others I heard about. Breast cancer is real, and it changes lives.
Thank you so much for participating in the “Just Ask”. I did visit the page and did click the “like” button. What great awareness!!! Funny you should be giving away a camera. Our cousin passed from ovarian cancer and another form of cancer, and the one thing she loved to do was take and look at photos. You people are the greatest.
I like the FB page! I was diagnosed with BC back in 2009 at age 40. It was my first mammogram! Later I found out I was BRAC positive. I had a double mastectomy and then September of last year I had my ovaries removed to prevent ovarian cancer. Ladies, please get the girls checked! I am now 42 and cancer free!
I just liked this page! I know to many people who have been affected by both of these cancers. Thanks for supporting these causes.
I liked the pages and will share the badge info with local Girl Scouts. Both of my grandmas died of breast cancer. I’m waiting on the results of a second set of “funny” mammogram films. It’s so past time to have this be a disease of the past.
I like the Facebook Page. What a wonderful way to bring attention to this great cause and thank you for for doing it. One of my older cousins fought breast cancer and did very well, but we lost her last year from a sudden heart attack. But she had many wonderful years and the Lord has blessed her family and all of ours in so many ways.
My memory is horrible, I’m not sure if I already entered. (or if we can enter twice) But I couldn’t find my entry, so here I am. I liked the fb page, and I love watching y’alls shows. Thanks for the chance to win this great camera!
Great idea!! It will make a big difference for the cure.
I “liked” the page and am glad to see this great cause put out there. I have an aunt who battled breast canceer a coupole of yrs ago. It is very hard to see someone go through that. Not only because it affected her personally but because it affected her childrent so much also. I admire all women who put their best foot forward when faced with trials such as these.

Thankfully, no immediate family members that I know have suffered from breast cancer. But I had a friend who’s grandmother had breast cancer and it took a toll on her. It was hard for her grandma, who eventually beat breast cancer, but it was still a hard time as well for their entire family. However, they got through it, and her family is more happy than ever…:-)
Thanks for doing this giveaway!! So, so many of my friends and family have battled breast cancer but they are survivors!!!

I liked the Just Ask page, what a great cause!
Thanks for spreading the word! Had this information been available, we most likely would not have lost my Grandmother. She had to have a double mastectomy. Unfortunately, they were too late and the cancer had spread all over her lymphatic system. She died at age 47 and never got to meet any of her grandchildren. I am grateful for the information and the chance of early detection. I pray that there will be a cure for this monster of a disease and I pray that those affected by it will get the treatment early enough to beat and become one more survivor.
I have a sister in law that beat breast cancer! She is truly an amazing person!!
I liked Just Ask on Facebook!
I just liked the facebook page & tweeted! I, fortunately, have not experieced a loved one or close friend who has been diagnosed with breast/ovarian cancer. I do believe it is extremely important to raise awareness of these two types of cancer so that it may be detected earlier on in women.
I like Just Ask! on facebook.
Love this cause and would hit LIKE over and over just to raise money for any cancer awareness. I have a friend who is only 2 years older than me and about 4 years ago found out she had ovarian cancer. She is very lucky and they caught it early.
I LIKED Just ask! and appreciate your great giveaway. My mom was treated for breast cancer a few years back. Also a friend from work went through chemo and radiation after surgery, and we, her co-workers, showed our support by all wearing wigs to work one day.

My Mother-In-Law is a 20+ years survivor of Breast Cancer. She is such an inspiration to me and many other women in her community.
I “liked” the cancer page on facebook. Thanks for your support of this important women’s health issue. I lost my mother to breast cancer after a very great five year battle. At the time she was told she was too “young to worry” about cancer. We have thankfully learned that this is not true and self exams are important. We called her the everready battery lady, because she was always going and never gave up. The night before her cancer had gone to the brain and caused a coma, she was still up entertaining guests who had come to be with her. We had so many people at the hospital the next day holding her hand and praying for her journey with Jesus to heaven and she died peacefully.
what a great way to spread info about a great cause

I’ve been extremely lucky in that no one close to me has ever dealt with cancer. Not true for my husband, who has lost an aunt and an uncle. Cancer sucks!

Both of my grandmothers have had breast cancer. One is currently battling it and is at the end of it.
It makes it even more important for me to be screened starting in the next 6 years or so. It’s amazing that if caught early, it can be taken care of without too much trouble. Hooray for medical advances!
Well, I see others have continued posting for a chance so I will too. I liked the facebook.

I have a dear friend whose mother and grandmother both died of breast cancer. She then became part of a clinical trial some years back and I’m glad to say, she is still with us and breast cancer free. Without funding for research, this would not have been possible and she herself would have likely lost her life to this terrible malady.

I just “liked” the page! I know that cancer is a hard disease. Everyone I have lost on my mother’s side of the family has been due to some form of cancer. In the last year my six year old son was diagnosed with cancer. He is doing great now however there are people diagnosed everyday. I pray the cure can be found to heal the ones who suffer from the devastation of the disease.

I love this! I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of this year. My husband has been out of work for awhile and we had no insurance or extra cash laying around, we were having a hard time just paying our bills, so when I found my lump, the cost of the tests seemed imposable. I tried to convince myself it wasn’t cancer, but people around me that I had shared my findings with convinced me to be seen. Through a similar foundation I was able to have my tests paid for, which relieved this great burden for us. My cancer was aggressive. I had a physical exam about six months prior to finding the lump which was 7 cm big, and there was no sign of the lump then. I am so grateful we found the cancer when we did. I just had a mastectomy a little over a week ago and they found one positive lymph node. I don’t know what my treatment will be from here, but if I had waited much longer the cancer would have spread throughout my body, and treatment would have to be more aggressive. I am 30 years old and do not have a strong family history of breast cancer. I didn’t even do monthly checks, my husband found the lump. So be aware girls! It can happen to anyone, and your treatment should not depend on your finances. Women need to know there are programs out there like this, it literally saved my life!

I just liked the Just Ask on Facebook (kimberly couch howard). I myself have not had a family member diagnosed with breast cancer but I have had several close members fight other cancers and have lost two uncles to their tough fight cancer. Organizations such these are such a God sent in more ways than one for much support and awareness; thank you to each of you for your support.
I liked, tweeted and can share that while I haven’t had any close family members diagnosed, I do have some extended family that I’ve lost in the last year. It’s so good to have organizations like this to bring awareness to everyone and serve as a reminder to get regular screenings and help.
I liked this as well… anything that brings awareness to breast and ovarian cancer, and what a great cause that helps women who can’t afford screenings..awesome. I don’t have any women currently in my family fighting these cancers…but my daughter has been fighting a brain tumor for the past five years and just had a major tumor resection on the 24 of march…I pray we can find a cure for all types of cancer.
