those are great! and so easy! thank you for sharing!
can’t wait to make some-love them-my 14 yr old will too! she wears scarves all the time!
I love these scarfs! One question though. Did you get 10 circles out of one pink t-shirt for the ruffle scarf? Trying to figure out how to get that many out of the tee or if I need more than one tee. I am thinking that making 4-6 pink and 4-6 black would make an awesome two-toned scarf!
Love it!! Can’t wait to make them!
You amaze me!! I could make a bet the scarf are going to be a hit next winter.
Wow…How way cool is that Frilled one…I have seen the other strippy one that looks more like a necklace..but the Frilled one is AMAZING…and Love that look! Thanks for the fun ideas!!
These scarves are amazing!!!! Gosh I am so glad there are talented gushing over people like you out there! Thank you for sharing this great idea!
I hope it will be ok to share this on my Finding Beauty post for next Saturday-I will add a link to your site of course!

Love them! Can’t wait to try the ruffled one.
i love these, especially the green stringy one!
Definately the ruffled one is my favorite, going to try that one tomorrow with my daughter!
Love #2, #3 second choice. It is getting warm here in Louisiana, so # 2 would be just right. Have to find t’s to cut.
I love the brown one in the video. My second choice is the green one made of little strips. They are all beautiful, of course!
Love these scarfs, the white one is my favorite then the blue. So fun.
Hi Michelle! Yes, I was able to get 10 circles out of one pink t-shirt but it was an XXL t-shirt size. I love your idea of combining 2 colors into 1 scarf! I’m going to try that!
Kim
I love the white one cause you could wear it with anything!
Jut saw the video love the string one also I think that is amazing. It would be fun experimenting with these ideas.
I like the infinity scarf and the ruffled scarf the best. Very easy to make. I might try this with my GS troop.
The ruffled one is my favorite, I also like the one with the pompoms.
The scarves are fantastic!!! I can hardly wait to start going through my
husbands t-shirts!
The ruffled scarf is my favorite. Luckily my husband is out of town today and I can grab one of his t-shirts. The only sad thing is that he doesn’t wear pink.
Thanks for this great shawl tutorial.
I love the one that looks like loops around the neck, and the last one pictured. If I were younger, I’m sure I’d go for the ruffly ones. May make those for the young granddaughters! Thanks for posting this!
Wow, hard choice of which is my favorite. I think the most favorite is the green one that is wrapped around the neck twice. After that they are all great. I am getting those t-shirts out of the give away bag and making some scarves. As usual another great craft.
The ruffle scarf would be my fav! All these great ideas will make great Christmas gifts for this year;o)
I love number 1 and number 5 I can’t wait to make some of these!!!
Love the first white one and the green one with black flower! Very whimsical!
I love the turquoise one and hope I spelled that write! Lolol
My two favorite scarfs are the brown and turquoise.
I love the ruffled one the mostest! ( the turquoise one!) My second fave is the tiny strips put together like a necklace. The are so cute!!
Thx for sharing and the chance to win!
I love chartreuse one with the strips the best! Second would be the ruffle strip aqua scarf. I can’t wait to try these!!! Perfect for the spring!
Another terrific idea, everyone has old t shirts and some you just can not part with but maybe faded or holey or someone special bought it and you can rejuvinate it and still keep the memory of why it is so special, and so “Green” friendly too! Applause!
I love the white one and the green one. I can see these dressing up a simple summer dress. Thanks for the tip.
I love the teal blue one (my favorite color) and the black with white trim although the pink one from the show caught my eye too. I also liked one of the other comments about taking 2 colored Tees and making a 2-tone scarf. I can’t wait to get started. Where are my scissors?!?
I love the turquoise one
and the white one. I can’t wait to make one. Thanks for all your great ideas.:)
This is such a great idea! It is hard to believe that there is no sewing involved!
My favourite scarf is the green string one with the black flower;but I love them all and can’t wait to try this project. Thanks!!
I really like the third one shown. The ruffled look is reallly nice. I think I’ll be buying my T-shirts though because all of my husband’s shirts have logos on the front and/or backs – but maybe that would look interesting too. Thanks so much for the really cute idea.
Great idean I like the white ruffle and the black and pink ball one.
Super easy and cute too! Also great that it is basically re-purposing at no extra cost.

I love the first 2 scarves, the infinity and the green stringy one. I think t-shirts are on sale at JoAnn’s this week so I’ll be making a run to pick some up!
love the versatility of the simple large infinity scarf since you can double it around your neck or leave it long and loose. also love the “ruffled” scarf. great cost-saving fashion!
The black with white pom pom trim is one that I can see myself wearing everyday! And the stringy one- gorgeous! So making these for everyone I know!!! Thanks!
The scarf with spiraled circles is so clever, I have been seeing them everywhere and wondered how they were made. You have such great ideas, keep up the good work.
Love all of them but my favorites are the stringy one and the ruffled one. Will definitely be making these. Thanks for the cute idea.
I like the light green with black silk rose and the black one with the purple pompom fringe best, but they all look great!
Ladies, you keep outdoing yourselves!
Nothing I loathe MORE than unusable, silly crafts like crochet toilet paper cover! THESE are absolutely wonderful and I love, Love, LOVE them!
Taking this to the Senior Friend ship center also!
Hey did you know that fleece cuts do the same spirally thing. Can’t recall if it is straight grain or cross grain, but they make the most adorable curlicues depending on how skinny!
Would make a great scarf for coats or embellishment for regular fleece scarves!
My favorite one is the the ruffley one – it would look really great in two colors. My second favorite is the wide one.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the multi strand tshirt (green with black flower). I have been making these for some time and get the most compliments when wearing them.
I really love the the curly scarf as well. Great accessory for the coming warm weather.
I love the ruffle scarf and the skinny infinity green scarf – cute!!
How fantastic are these!!!! I love the black with white pom pom trim & the brown ruffled one with the beautiful pin attached!!!. I’m headed to the Goodwill store for some supersized t-shirts!!!
love the frilly one! especially with the trim!
my second fave is the infinity scarf without the trim. I love it wrapped twice like a cowl.
I LOVE infinity scarves, but I can’t knit! I can’t wait to make these! The two green ones are my favorite.
I love the ruffle one!!! I think I’ll buy some jersey knit by the yard with a coupon:) I wondered though…would you mind demonstrating how to “wear” the ruffle one? Is it tied in a knot around the neck? How was that lovely brown one with the gold pin done? And the blue that is off to the side over the white t shirt? SO cute!!!
I love both green one .And the one with the black flower is so pretty and light
Oh my goodness what a wonderful tutorial!!!!! This is fantastic! I absolutely adore them ALL, but my favorite has to be the two ruffled ones, the white and the turquoise ruffled ones. If I were blessed to win this wonderful giveaway, I’d send one to each of my daughters and I know they’d absolutely adore them! I’m dying to try it myself, but I don’t know that my arthritis would allow me to do so much cutting. LOL but I’m pretty sure I’ll give it a try anyway! Never know till you try! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Oh the genious of cutting up t-shirts!! What a money saver as well. I’ve seen scarves upwards of $20 that look almost as cute as yours! I’m making them all today! Being the mother of 5 boys, I’d have to say the ruffle scarf is my favorite. With all the boy clothes and toys in my house, I have to get my girl on as much as possible:)
i really liked all of the t-shirt scarves. but i think the one i cared for most was the neck wrap
By coincidence, my daughter in WA state wants a scarf. Thinks she will
get one crocheted, but one of your style will really knock her socks off!
Love your emails – has kept me interested during recent surgery.
The spiralled scarf is gorgeous! I like the green straight scarf doubled as well. So awesome that they’re made from T-shirts!

These are great !!! You can even tie dye, embroider or stamp it. A going away gift with everyones name on it ! many possibilities !
I love the first and last styles. Can’t wait to get started making them.

I love the infinit scarf. There is a popular sewing catalog that has a pattern for an infinity scarf, and the pattern is $9 bucks! You just saved me some money! I also like the ruffle edg, going to go in my dresser and look for an old t-shirt!
I love them all but if I had to pick 2, I like the one with the 5 or so strings and the flower, I also love the one that you cut in a spiral. Did you all make the black flower as well, is it one of the blooms??

When I saw this I went out and bought a $4 t shirt in dark gray and my daughter (9 yrs) and I each made a scarf from it! First I cut the 2″ strips and made the looped one for me and then she cut circles
from the rest of the shirt including smaller circles from sleeves and made hers! Thanks this is fun and so fast!!
I love that these are so easy to make! Inexpensive also! I liked the ruffly ones that were made from the circles and also the looped green one. Can’t wait to make some for myself and for gifts.
They are all so fun and wonderful! which to choose? The ruffle scarf looks adorable. I think I have to make that one first.
My favorite is the green thin tubes with the flower attached. The flower really gives it a fun look. My second favorite is the ruffled scarf because it looks so feminine. I have always loved a light layer of ruffles on my blouses. This is such a fun way to add a ruffle look to a plain shirt. I am so excited to make these fun scarves! Thanks again for another fun idea!

I love this idea. I made my first one out of an old T-shirt that never fit right. Then as I was cutting I realized I liked the look of a very rounded edge. I went to the fabric store and picked out some no sew fleece and did the same pattern I just didn’t cut straight lines around my circle. I think this is very creative and very neat. Its a great idea for gifts.
I like the two lime green ones.
we would really like to know how to make your white scarf just below the video, my daughter would really love to make it for a friend.
I just love all your neat ideals for making scarfs out of T-shirts. My Favorite two are the hot pink and the black with the Pom Pom Trim.
I absolutely love the green idea of reuse and recycle that the scarves on DIY Dish has!!!
Imagine in 2012, having these top knotch Fashionistas with the cool and easy and sooo sic videos using old or new t-shirts. This puts a whole new spin on sewing and crafting…..YOU GO GIRLS!!!!
I tried this with a 100% cotton t-shirt from Old Navy and it didn’t work. The ends didn’t curl up and it just looked ragged when I stretched the material. Do you have any tips on what kind of t-shirts work best?…OR which t-shirts NOT to use?!? Thanks so much. Love this idea!!!
What did I do wrong?!? I tried this with a men’s XL 100% cotton tshirt and was only able to get 8 circles. I must have cut the spirals too thin because when I pulled and stretched it to make the ruffles, it too just looked loose and stringy. I was so disappointed. I rarely take a risk to “do it yourself” and this is the reason why. I need exact measurements and directions. Just winging it never works for me.
Good thing the tshirt only cost $5.

These are beautiful and I can’t wait to make them for my 14 year old daughter! My daughter has cerebral palsy and she drools. We have made other bibs for her and tried to make them so they wouldn’t look so babyish, but I have never felt like we succeeded. I have looked for other fashionable option and have thought about scarves but they always looked too old or were not economical or absorbent. But these are brilliant. Thank you so much!
My brother suggested I might like this website. He was totally right.
This post truly made my day. You can not imagine just how much time
I had spent for this information! Thanks!
Lovely scarfs!
I made something similar with fabric scraps.
