A “2nd Helping”…Follow-up on Episode 3 with Holiday Challenge

October 1st, 2010

We have loved hearing your enthusiasm in your emails, on the blog, and on facebook regarding the Holiday Craft Challenge!  We can’t wait to see your photos!  Plus, besides creating some really cool decorations for your home, you’re also going to receive free e-Patterns just for participating! Love it!

We wanted to share the quick (and I mean QUICK!) run-down on how the candy trees were made. This was the photograph shown in Episode 3.  All we did was unwrap peppermint and cinnamon-disc candies.  Squirt just a dab of hot glue to the back of your candy and glue in place.  If you have too much hot glue, it will begin to melt your STYROFOAM™ cone base.  We started at the bottom of the cone and worked our way up to the very top.  Tie a big bow around it, place them on candlesticks, and wa-la….you’ve got a very EASY holiday decoration!

We can’t wait to see what you are making for ANY holiday!  Details on this craft challenge are found here.

Have a nice weekend!

This would be a great idea for those bulk hard christmas candies – very colorful. Also, could you leave the wrapper on and have an edible decoration? Would make a great gift for teachers, clergy, postman or the UPS driver. Great shows girls.
