She’s one of our favorites…

September 24th, 2010

…have a guess?

If you guessed the talented Sandi Henderson of Portabellopixie, then you’re right! We were able to catch up with her at the recent SPARK conference. What a pleasure it was to visit and find out more about where her inspiration and drive comes from.

With several fabric lines now behind her, she is doing some amazing things in the fabric and textile industry! We are so happy for Sandi!

And don’t you love the little owl pin cushion? Made with lots of joy in fabrics from her first two collections, Ginger Blossom and Farmers Market. We put the fabrics together that may seem like a very different combo, but we think it adds to his peculiar look!

What do you think?

I love the very unusual fabric combination’s..that is what people…really draw too….if it is done right…I always push colors/patterns…and textures/fabrics to the limit…WHY NOT…get out of the BOX!! and Enjoy creating!!

Sandi is one of my favorites too. I love her designs! Wish I could have been at the SPARK conference…it sure looks like it would have been a blast and just the “spark” I need to ignite my creativity!

I think these owls are so cute. I have been looking for some ideas to go along with my stain glass owls for my little boys room. So fun to add to the collection. Thank you for the lovely inspirations….
