Loved the video, I am always excited to learn how to make new things and to find out what’s new out there, I hope that you will keep coming back with more and more videos!! These types of tuturials help so many women to start little home business’ and gives them the opportunity to stay at home and be there for their family. Thank you so much!

I love the pin cushion cakes! What a fun project! I can’t wait to make one! Seems like a good way to use up the cute scraps of fabric that are too small for making much but too cute to throw away!

Hi Kim and Kris…. love your first DYI show. Looking forward to
coming back each week. I LOVE crafts and have been getting
back into sewing.
Margaret
Nice job on the video! Is there a way to save the video to my local hard drive or will the videos stay up indefinitely? The download really doesn’t give any instructions on how to make the pincushion.
Wow.. I am so impressed.. I am going to make one of these so cute cakes for our Women’s Ministry Spring Silent Auction… They will be so impressed with it… Thanks for the great show… You ladies ROCK…

So fun! After a long absence from sewing and crafting, I want to make everything…this will be a fun one to create with the kids.
I love this show!. I have been sewing for many years, but the last 3weeks in the bed due to a car accident and the only thing i can do is look for ideas on my laptop. I so loved your new program and the information you supplied. It makes it sew (`smile`) easy to understand projects when you see someone doing them. Thanks for giving me a great idea to make my daughter her first anniversary cake…..she will love it!!!
I can’t wait to make this pincushion, I was wondering the other day as I was cleaning/organizing my creative studio what I was going to do with all the awful colors of felt from days gone by, now I know especially if I use fun fabric for the last layer who will know what’s under it. This would be a great project for new sewers, and kind of an ice breaker for those sewing groups. Makes a great mother’s day gift or birthday gift for friends or family that sew. Time to go be creative.
Enjoyed the first episode, looking forward to more.

Love, love, loved the very first episode!
Sono italiana e non so scrivere bene in americano:è fantastico questo pincushin, grazie per la bellissima idea. Abbracci dall!Italia.Kleo
Congratulations on your first episode. I applaud your effort to create these how-to videos. It is becoming harder and harder to find hands-on instructions on how to do many arts and crafts, so webcasts such as yours fill an important need. The professionalism of your producers clearly show. Watch the Janome banner, it obstructed part of the screen for too long. I couldn’t see what you were demonstrating.
I think the show was too long. You spend more than 5 minutes talking before you got to the craft project. Showing how to roll the cake could have been condensed, a la Sewing with Nancy. I stopped watching half-way because I don’t use my PC like a TV where I spend 30-60 minutes watching PBS or HGTV. I’d tighten the format to 10 minutes max and focus on how to do, including close-ups, rather than chatting.
Please continue. You’re off to a great start.
Claudia
I loved the first episode. You girls did a great job and the project was really cute and I can’t wait to try it. Looking forward to next one.
Joanne

I enjoyed your show very much…You have giving me the perfect shower gift idea. My daughter is getting married, and I have been thinking, what could I make. I think the pin cushions would be so cute. It would also give the tables a cute centerpiece. In all different colors for the summer. Thanks so much. Maybe I could win the pattern. If not I’m sure to pick it up myself. Thanks again for the great idea. Good luck on your new show.

That was so fun, ladies! Thank you! Can’t wait to make my own pin cushion cake
I loved it! You guys are so awesome!!!
Hi I watched your fist show. I thought it was really good. I have a little hit that I think you might like, it has to do with gathering thing like the little rose. Instead of using double rows of long sitiching, use a wide Zigzag stitch over thin crochet thread. You basicaly do this put the machinge on zigzag stitch place the crochet thread under the presser foot and zigzag over the thread. The thread is not caught in the stitching. And you just pull the crochet thread like you do the thread. once you are sititch the gathering you can pull the crochet thread out of the sitiching.
Great first episode! Will probably make some of these.
Great project–fun and simple enough that even children can do it!
Jozel

Great show! Can’t wait to make these for all my friends.
I am your biggest fan!!
Video was great! Couple of comments – for us beginners, could you spend a little more time on some of the details? There was a lot of time showing rolling the felt, but not much time on the decorations or sewing the fabric covering side and top. Also you had some helpful close-ups, but they were very quick. I used to make a lot of gifts when I was younger, due to cost and because they were more personal…and now I’m getting back into that…and for the same reasons! There was no internet back then and your website is a big, big, big help! Thanks!
Loved the pin cushion. Must try this real soon, keep thr crafts coming. Betty
those pincushions are so cute–just the thing except that I have a feeling my youngest child will have them all over the house playing with them but–for those of us who don’t want our kids playing with plastic toys this is a great new addition (a felt cake) to their toy box as well! Thanks-Cherie

Hello Ladies,
Just watched this episode for the second time. I want to make a 100 of these. How do you cover the top of the cakes?
Please enter my name in the drawing for the cute Heather Bailey kit. I love her designs and fabric.
I am loving the DIY show.
Thank You,
Wendy B
i just watched the first three episodes of your show , thank you i enjoyed them very much . will be trying the
Hi Wendy! Most of the tops of the cakes are uncovered so that you can see the spiral effect of the felt being rolled. On the small pink one, we did cut out a piece of felt that was larger than the top, and hot-glued it to make it look like frosting. On the large cake, we cut a piece of fabric a bit larger than the “top”, and then added that last piece of fabric-covered felt to cover the raw edges. Hope that helps!
How exciting – glad I found you!
I have been drooling over these pin cushions and everything else all morning!!! Love it!
